Frequently Asked Questions
If you have any questions that aren’t covered in this section please do not hesitate to contact us. You can mail here… and we will respond quickly.
Will HomesCINEMA work on any browser?
All our property films are delivered via the Internet. We specifically
test our software on the latest versions of Explorer, Safari, Netscape, Mozilla
and Firefox browsers. Some earlier versions of these browsers may experience
glitches.
Do you need broadband to watch HomesCINEMA?
All of HomesCINEMA films are optimised to stream as fast as possible,
and they will work with dial-up connections. However, the service is designed
to be instantly available for broadband and cable modem users.
Do I need extra software to see the films?
HomesCINEMA films require the QuickTime plug-in to be present. There
is a link to download QuickTime (if it is not present on a customer’s
machine already) on every HomesCINEMA page.
I can watch the movie, but I can't hear it.
Your computer is probably running an older version of Quicktime.
Click the
link on the left to download the latest version for free.
Will it work with Windows Media Player?
No, customers will be required to use the QuickTime plug-in. After
careful research we discovered that only QuickTime delivered the quality of
video and sound at the required speeds across Apple and PC platforms.
What if I want to make changes after the film has been produced?
No problem. Re-shoots and re-edits can be quickly arranged. If reworking
is required as a result of a mistake by HomesCINEMA there will be no charge
for any of the work. All other work will be completed at agreed hourly rates.
Are there a minimum number of properties an Estate Agent has to order?
There are no minimums. We work to the same high standard regardless
of the size of the Estate Agency we are working for.
Are there any travel expenses to pay?
The only additional expenses relate to parking, toll or congestion
charges. If it is necessary for us to incur parking, toll or congestion charges
while we are filming a property, they will be added to the bill at cost price.
For Agents in remote parts of the British Isles we may try and film a number
of properties in one visit to reduce the cost.
Are the films High Definition?
All the filming is done in the native HDV format. At present there
are no commercial DVD writers to enable us to provide this quality to to our
DVD customers. However, we will be able to rework current properties into
the HD format, if required.
How much training is required for our staff?
No formal training is required. HomesCINEMA will send an account
manager to talk to all staff prior to the first property going live. We can
also supply Video iPods for staff with all the properties available. Telephone
help is available whenever required during office hours.
